Red over heels: Where to buy the perfect Valentine’s Day dress

January 23, 2018 in Fashion

Red over heels

With January ending soon and February beginning, I thought it would be a good idea to mention what’s on the horizon. Valentine’s Day. It means a lot of different things to a lot of people. Some may think it’s about showering your loved ones with gifts and going on fancy dates. Others may think it’s just a commercialized holiday made up by the greeting card industry to sell more cards. I personally think its for gorging yourself on truffles and heart shaped candies. Each of us may be right. Whether you are a cynic or a romantic, I have the perfect red dress for you to wear this Valentine’s Day, or any day for that matter. Once you put it on you’re gonna fall red over heels, (hehe) in love with it.

Lovely in Lace on Valentine’s Day

Red lace Valentine’s Day dress

In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a lace dress. You can also find other lace items I love at the moment here. I love how flirty and feminine this one is in particular. And for my petite ladies, it is a great length, falling just above the knee. I paired it with some high heels because I’m small and I pair pretty much everything with high heels. Flats or sandals, (dependent on weather) would look great as well. This year Valentine’s Day falls on a weekday, signifiying a workday for most of us. Depending on the strictness of your work dress code, you could rock this dress and spread the love throughout your workplace.

A specific highlight to this dress is these double ruffled sleeves. They add an element of girliness and romance. The 3/4 length sleeve is also a great transition piece for the Spring. And true to my namesake, who would I be if I didn’t gush over these fabulous ruffles?! Not pictured, is the open back, which adds another element of fun to this fabulously detailed dress.

Dressed to Impress

Red lacy Valentine’s Day dress

This perfect Valentine’s Day dress is from Francesca’s and it’s under $50, so it won’t break the bank. it fits a little tighter in the shoulders and back. If you are in between sizes, I would size up. I’m wearing a small for reference. My longer legged ladies this would work for you too, it just might not be an office appropriate length.

So whether you’re a Valentine’s Day lover or hater, you NEED this dress in your closet. Exact item is linked below so you can get it in time for the holiday. Let me know in the comments how you feel about this dress and what your plans are for Valentine’s Day.

XOXO,

So, so beautiful!! We haven’t decided what we are doing for Valentine’s Day yet, but now I think I need a new red, flirty dress! Francesca’s is one of my favorite spots to shop!! They’re affordable and carry quality brands – love it!

My intention for March is to accept uncertainty. I have a lot of unanswered questions about my health, where I’m going to live, why I have nightmares every night but for now I’m just going to focus on what I can control in the present.

What’s your intention for March?
